We are an empathy-driven, social impact recruitment and training organisation that support the hard to reach/disadvantaged people into technology driven roles through employment and apprenticeships – We achieve this by direct employability/self-employed skills training and opportunities. Since our inception we have directly/indirectly brought together over 1,000 job vacancies and over 800 employers to thrive, together.
Inspired by our ambition around revolutionizing support for the disadvantaged people; championing and supporting employability skills training, on the job learning and self-employment and helping close the skills gap in the tech/digital sector – we are here to challenge our candidates and employers mindsets around digital skills development and growth, for the better.

Apprenticeships Support
We pride ourselves in executing high volume outcomes, providing a 360 support system, and inputting our relationships and experience in other contracts nationwide to help you deliver apprenticeships successfully
Traineeships Support
We have direct experience in hiring many trainees as well as delivering a set goal amount with partners around the country. We help deliver the side of the support you need the most, as well as having the ability to deliver a full wrap around support web system.
restart scheme and employability skills training
We have direct experience with many public services from councils, prisons and candidates from Kickstart allowing us to understand what to do with those who have faced long term unemployment as well as speaking to employers who are open to take these candidates on. We have delivered or delivering on behalf of prime contractors for UK Gov, including Maximus, Ingeus, Shaw Trust and others.
Employability Skills Training
We have the luxury of having veterans in the industry who have over 2 decades of direct employability experience as well as having educated enthusiastic youths who allow us to take a different spin resulting in more real-life delivery. We avoid power point presentations and focus more on a holistic approach when trying to improve someone’s employability in this day and age.

Story so far
Started with Kickstart – we were initially an approved Gateway for the Kickstart Programme and have had over £4.3m worth of opportunities approved. Pivoting thereafter, the team rapidly started delivering on traineeships and apprenticeships. We have over 800 employers nationwide and have worked on programmes including Traineeships, Apprenticeships and direct employment. We have over 200 vacancies live at any given time across a range of sectors (retail, warehouse & storage, customer service, business administration, IT inc digital marketing, hospitality and driving. With our partnership work with employers, we now have agreements in place with some of the employers where AKR Growth has been given the authority to make official job offers on their behalf. We’re keen to expand, grow and change the nature of welfare to work.

Chichester College Group reached out to AKR for support with sourcing high quality industry placements for our T Level students. AKR worked tirelessly with targeted sectors within our local demographic to inform employers what a T Level is and how an industry placement can benefit their business.
